My name is Cesar Lador, I am a dad, engineer by trade and a dreamer by night, like many of you!

​

I have a passion for illustration, children's books and comic books. So when I am not having good times with my family or in the outdoors, I love exploring my imagination, making up stories and building imaginary worlds! I have been drawing as long as I can remember and I have decided to finally share my creations. I hope you have enjoyed your visit.

I am currently the New Zealand illustrator coordinator for the society of children book writers and illustrators (SCBWI) and am (normally) based on the beautiful New Zealand West Coast. I am also an active member of Kids Comics Studio, a great online community of comic book artists.

 

My children's book illustrations were recently shortlisted and awarded runner-up at the Margaret Mahy Award hosted by Hachette New Zealand in 2020 and 2022. In 2023 I became a full time comic book artist and started to illustrate the Miles and Jones comic book series written by New Zealand comedian Sam Smith.
